Bachelor of Divinity(Hindi)

Bachelor of Divinity degree programme is a four-year course. Graduates and above from recognised Universities are eligible to undertake BD studies. B.Th./BMISS/BCS graduates shall join for two-year BD programme, beginning from 3rd year of BD; they have to pass English I & II or qualifying Senate paper Examination. Additionally, they have to do Preliminary Greek and Hebrew as compulsory College Examined papers. ATA BTH students have to pass BD Qualifying Examination (8 papers) from the Senate of Serampore College, before joining the BD degree programme.

Bachelor of Divinity

The Bachelor of Divinity (B.D.) is a three-year residential degree programme. Although designated as a bachelor’s degree, it is academically equivalent to a master’s level programme and is intended for candidates who have already completed an undergraduate degree. Students at the B.D. level are introduced to the foundations of theology as well as advanced theological studies at a later stage. Graduates with a B.Th or B.Miss. degree who have successfully completed all the required subjects are eligible for admission directly into the second year of the B.D. programme. Additionally, applicants who have not previously completed Preliminary Greek and Preliminary Hebrew shall be required to pass these subjects as compulsory College examined papers. Graduates from institutions accredited by the Asia Theological Association (ATA) are required to pass the B.D. Qualifying Examination of the Senate of Serampore College before admission to the B.D. programme. Candidates selected for the B.D. programme will attend the Orientation Course from October- April.

Master of Theology

The minimum duration of the Master of Theology (M.Th.) programme is two academic years. Candidates who meet the requirements of the Senate of Serampore College are eligible to undertake M.T.h studies. The College currently offers M.Th. programmes in seven departments - Old Testament, New Testament, Christian Theology, History of Christianity, Missiology, Religions and Counselling.

Doctor of Theology

The Doctor of Theology (D.Th.) is a minimum three-year residential programme. Candidates holding a Senate of Serampore M.Th. degree with a minimum of Grade B, or its equivalent, are eligible to undertake this programme. The College currently offers D.Th. programme in six departments - Old Testament, New Testament, Christian Theology, History of Christianity, Missiology and Counselling.

Bachelor of Christian Studies

Candidates seeking admission to the Bachelor of Christian Studies (B.C.S.) shall hold a B.Th., B.A., or an equivalent qualification. Those who have passed the Mature Candidates’ Entrance Examination are also eligible to apply. Candidates may choose either English or Mizo medium of instruction. The minimum duration of the course is four years. Every academic year the College organizes contact seminars for Dip.C.S. and B.C.S. students.

Diploma in Christian Studies

Candidates seeking admission to the Diploma in Christian Studies (Dip.C.S.) must pass 10+2 or an equivalent qualification. Candidates may choose either English or Mizo medium of instruction. The minimum duration of the programme is two years.
