1. General Requirements:

1) The applicant must be a full communicant member and is in good standing with his/her church with a commitment to discipleship.

2) The applicant must have a definite call to God’s service.

3) The applicant must be able to conduct his/her studies in English.


2. Application:

3. Entrance Test and Interview:

1. Bachelor of Divinity (BD):

(1) Candidates have to submit their application form together with the required documents within the stipulated period.

(2) The College conducts entrance examination in the following subjects:

(a) English 100 marks

(b) Bible Knowledge 50 marks

(c) General Knowledge 50 marks

(3) Candidates holding a B.Th. degree shall be exempted from the Bible Knowledge examination.

(4) Candidates selected by the Faculty through the entrance examination are interviewed by the Theological Education Board (TEB) for final selection.

(5) A candidate whose sibling is enrolled in any residential programme in the College shall not be eligible for admission.


2. Master of Theology (MTh):

(1) Candidates have to submit their application form together with the required documents within the stipulated period.

(2) The College shall conduct entrance examination in the following:

(a) English 100 marks

(b) Departmental test (written) 100 marks

(c) Departmental interview

(3) Candidates selected by the Faculty through the entrance examination are interviewed by the TEB for final selection.

(4) A candidate whose sibling is enrolled in any residential programme in the College shall not be eligible for admission.


3. Doctor of Theology (DTh):

(1) Candidates have to submit their application form together with the required documents within the stipulated period.

(2) D.Th applicants have to pass the Common Entrance Test (CET), attend the Research Methodology Course and fulfill other requirements laid down by the Department of SATHRI, Senate of Serampore College.

(3) The College shall conduct a departmental interview.

(4) Candidates selected by the Faculty will be interviewed by the TEB for final selection.
