The Students have a very busy and exciting campus life. Their day begins with a rising bell at 5:00 am. Following morning tea, they are expected to have their own private devotions and do their studies from 6:00 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. At 7:45 a.m. meals are served in the Dining Hall. Staff and students participate in the chapel service at 8:30 a.m. Classes are held from 9:15 a.m. to 11:55 a.m. following which there is a break for 45 minutes fo tea, rest and recreation. In the afternoon, classes are usually eld from 12:40 p.m. to 3:20 p.m. Thereafter students may spend some time in the library, have their supper, play games, listen to the radio or watch T.V., meet friends, etc. They then have to assemble in the chapel for evening prayers. Afterwards, they have tea and then return to their studies (either in their own rooms or in the library).
On Thursday afternoons, students are expected to do campus work from 1:15 p.m. to 3:15 pm. On Saturdays, they are free to attend to
their needs or any responsibilities; however the library may be kept open in the forenoon as well as in the evening (after the evening
worship) for students who require doing some reading.
1) The College is striving for academic excellence for all students. In order to promote such an academic atmosphere, the
following are the minimum hours for study prescribed by the College from Mondays to Fridays:
Morning 06:00 a.m. – 07:45 a.m. (Summer)
06:30 a.m. – 07:45 a.m. (Winter)
Evening 07:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.

07:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. (Winter)
2) Evening Study Hours
will also be observed on Saturdays as well.
3) Students are
expected to study either in their respective rooms or in the Library
4) Silence should be observed in the Hostels especially during
study hours. The students should not in any way cause inconvenience or disturbance to fellow hostellers.
5) Students are not
permitted to use personal entertainment devices during study hours.
6) With the exception of emergencies or urgent college work,
students are not permitted to go out of the College campus during class/study hours for private purposes. In the case of emergencies or urgent college work, prior permission should be sought from the
Vice-Principal through the Hostel Warden.
7) Students having Fellowship/Tutorial Group meetings during study hours should inform
the Hostel Superintendent about the same. 8) As far as possible Committee meetings, choir practices, etc, should not be held during study hours. If it is necessary to have such meetings, the Hostel
Superintendent’s permission should be sought first.
Sunday is a busy day for most of the students as they are engaged in the Sunday Field Education programme. They are encouraged to follow this routine every Sunday.
All the students in the college are members of an organization called the Students’ Body. They elect their own leaders every year who constitute the S.B. Committee. This Committee is responsible for student discipline as well as other activities such as weekly campus social work on Thursday afternoon, organizing games and sports, debates, special lectures, etc.
The College is a member unit of the Student Christian Movement of India (SCMI). The SCM elects its Committee members every year. The Committee organises various programmes such as the Bible Study, reflections on social issues, Male Voice (Choir), participation in camps, etc. The Unit takes an active part in regional and national programmes of the SCM.
Worship is an indispensable element of theological training. All students are required to spend time in private devotions and to regularly attend worship services in the college or elsewhere as directed by the college authorities. If at any time they are unable to do so, they should acquire prior permission from the concerned college authorities. SCM Services are held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. The SB Services are held on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday evenings.
While the majority of the students are from Mizoram, there are also some from the neighbouring states of Tripura, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Nagaland, and Arunachal Pradesh, as well as from neighbouring regions representing different church traditions. Hence the college is a centre of warm ecumenical fellowship. Tutorial groups, campus community worship services, and fellowship meetings further strengthen this spirit of togetherness. The annual retreat is also a time of edifying spiritual fellowship.
Students have been actively participating in community worship along with the faculty, non-teaching staff and families in the campus on Sunday evenings. They are encouraged to participate in worship and devotions as these activities are important for the spiritual formation and leadership training of the students.
Time Students are encouraged to observe the following timings for leisure and for playing out-door and indoor games from Mondays to Fridays: 3:30p.m-5:30p.m. (Summer) 3:30p.m5:00p.m. (Winter)
All students residing in the single students’ hostel share a common dining hall. While the college appoints full-time cooks, the students are responsible in running their own mess under the Students’ Body (S.B) Committee in which the Mess Secretary (elected by the students every year along with S.B. Office Bearers) is responsible for the administration of Hostel Mess under the supervision of the Hostel Superintendent. All Students are expected to serve as Mess Managers according to their roster.

The Summer Period extends from March to October, while the Winter Period extends from November to February.
To entertain their visitors in the campus. They are encouraged to make the most of this facility and are not permitted to entertain visitors in their hostel rooms.
ATC emphasizes campus work as part of its programme of training. It also believes that sharing of necessary work is a good trainning in personal relationship, work ethics, dignity of service and practical skills.
